Join STAGE 2 BERROW PLAYERS!
OUR LAST PRODUCTION WAS:
The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s
Production of:
A Christmas Carol
by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jnr
After a troubled rehearsal period where we had to change our original schedule,
the play was performed from 29th to 31st May 2025 and we thank everyone who came for your continued support.
The Dickens Classic as you have never seen it before…. This festive comedy romp sees the ladies of the “Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society” in festive mood, as they mount a hilarious assault on the classics with their own stage version of A Christmas Carol.

PREVIOUS RECENT PRODUCTIONS….
The previous Stage 2 production was performed on 16th, 17th and 18th May 2024 at Berrow Village Hall and was the comedy thriller “Tomb With a View” by Norman Robbins. A big “THANK YOU” to everyone who came and enjoyed the show….

16TH – 18th November 2023
OLD ACTORS NEVER DIE… they simply lose the plot – A farce in Two Acts
The play is set in the Mount Home for Retired Actors, a home for the elderly like no other. Three women who are ex-wives to the same womanising actor, Edmund Sullivan, reside here, and welcome the arrival of Walter Neville, small part veteran of hundreds of films, and an old friend.
All is well until Edmund Sullivan arrives on the run from Russian gangsters. The ladies decide that their ex-husband needs to be saved, which runs into a truly daft journey of farce and great comedy.

New Members ALWAYS Wanted….
New members are always sought for stage 2 amateur drama group. We meet weekly on most Wednesdays, at 7.30pm, in Berrow Village Hall – Why not come along and take part in our script reading sessions in preparation for our next production?

“Murder at Dress Rehearsal” – 23rd, 24th, 25th MARCH 2023
Berrow Village Hall
The evening was centred around a Murder-Mystery comedy drama theme. There were a series of short comedy sketches followed by an interval which included a fun quiz to test the “little grey cells” and the opportunity to get a drink or two from the bar. The show then rounded off with the main production: “Murder at Dress Rehearsal” by Paul Mathews.

September / October 2022:
Murder in Little Grimley
7:30 pm, 29th Sept – 1st Oct 2022
at BERROW VILLAGE HALL
Another classic evening of drama, drinks and quizzing entertaining local audiences at Berrow Village Hall.
The evening included a brilliant new short comedy play by David Tristram. “MURDER! in Little Grimley” is the sixth of the hugely popular Little Grimley series, following the antics of a hapless Amateur Dramatic Society desperate for audiences.
Anxious to cash in on the public’s appetite for detective dramas, the Chairman Gordon writes a whodunit. But in a bizarre twist he then finds himself embroiled in a real-life murder mystery that threatens to put him behind bars. The quarrelsome quartet have been in some sticky situations over the years. But can they possibly get away with murder?
The evening featured a series of funny sketches by Frank Gibbons all presented in entertaining costume choices…. and of course there was our popular fun quiz with a prize for the winners on each night.

Membership of Stage 2 Drama is open to all from 16 up. We have a very informal style – there are no auditions, no tests, only enthusiasm and willingness to join in are needed…
